Account Deletion and Data Retention

This page explains how to delete your Lectella account and what happens to your information after deletion.
How to delete your account
- Open your account settings and choose "Delete account".
- Confirm your decision on the next screen.
- Or write to support@lectella.com from the email address on your account.
What gets deleted
Your profile, photos, biographical information, preferences, the message history visible to you, and your account credentials. Your profile becomes inaccessible to other members at the time you confirm deletion. We will process your deletion request within 30 days.
What we may keep
We may retain limited information for the following purposes, and only for as long as legally necessary:
- Billing, tax and accounting records.
- Fraud and abuse prevention, including a fraud blocklist where necessary to protect other members.
- Legal holds and compliance with court or regulatory orders.
- Aggregate, de-identified analytics that cannot be linked back to you.
- Records of support correspondence.
New York members
If you are a New York member, you may request that the personal information you provided be returned to you or deleted at the end of your membership, subject to the retention purposes above. Write to support@lectella.com.
Reactivation
Once your account is deleted, it cannot be reactivated. You may create a new account, subject to our Terms and Community Guidelines.
